The templates hosted below are meant to help give an idea of what a typical DAW project/session should look like when sending an entire mix through Sessionwire to a remote collaborator.
Sessionwire hosts templates for nearly every DAW on the market - however, these templates are meant to simply give an idea of what routing in each particular DAW should look like in order to successfully stream project/session audio to and from the Sessionwire application.
Due to the variance in workflows used from user to user, modifications to the template may need to be made to fit each use case.

Templates for some DAWs are unavailable due to their limited routing capabilities ie. Garageband, where only sending OR receiving HQ from the DAW at one time is possible.
Sending HQ Audio Only via a DAW
These templates will allow for the streaming of DAW audio through Sessionwire by simply placing the Sessionwire Send plugin on the master fader of the DAW project/session.
All Talkback audio is routed directly in and out of the Sessionwire application - no Talkback plugins are used or needed.
Settings in Sessionwire should be set as follows:
- Talkback Microphone: Default - Audio Interface or built-in microphone or webcam microphone
- Talkback Speaker: Default - Audio Interface or built-in output or built-in headphone output
- HQ Audio Source: Sessionwire Send Plugin
- HQ Audio Destination: Default - Audio Interface or built-in output or built-in headphone output
We recommend starting with this set up to get audio streaming back and forth across the Sessionwire connection and only using other templates/routing as needed.
Sending/Receiving HQ Audio via a DAW
These templates will allow for the streaming of DAW audio through Sessionwire by simply placing the Sessionwire Send plugin on the master fader of the DAW project/session, and the receiving of remote HQ audio using the Sessionwire Receive plugin.
All Talkback audio is routed directly in and out of the Sessionwire application - no Talkback plugins are used or needed.
Settings in Sessionwire should be set as follows:
- Talkback Microphone: Default - Audio Interface or built-in microphone or webcam microphone
- Talkback Speaker: Default - Audio Interface or built-in output or built-in headphone output
- HQ Audio Source: Sessionwire Send Plugin

Sending/Receiving HQ and Talkback Audio via a DAW
These templates will allow for the streaming of DAW audio through Sessionwire by simply placing the Sessionwire Send plugin on the master fader of the DAW project/session, and the receiving of remote HQ audio using the Sessionwire Receive plugin.
All Talkback audio is routed in and out of the DAW as well using the Sessionwire Talkback plugins. This setup is only recommended if absolutely needed due to hardware or software limitations.

- Talkback Speaker: Default - Audio Interface or built-in output or built-in headphone output
- HQ Audio Source: Sessionwire Send Plugin

Receiving HQ and Sending/Receiving Talkback Audio via a DAW
These templates will allow for the receiving of HQ audio into a DAW using the Sessionwire Receive plugin - and also allows for the routing of Talkback audio in and out of the DAW using the Sessionwire Talkback plugins.
Settings in Sessionwire should be set as follows:
- Talkback Microphone: Sessionwire Talkback Send Plugin
- Talkback Speaker: Sessionwire Talkback Receive Plugin
- HQ Audio Source: Sessionwire Send Plugin (unused in this template)
- HQ Audio Destination: Sessionwire Receive Plugin
Receiving HQ Audio Only via a DAW
These templates will allow for the receiving of remote HQ audio using the Sessionwire Receive plugin.
All Talkback audio is routed directly in and out of the Sessionwire application - no Talkback plugins are used or needed.
