If you see "Video Blocked. No permission", or nobody can hear you, your browser or computer is blocking your camera or microphone. There are two places to check: the browser itself, and your computer's privacy settings. Updates to macOS, Windows or your browser can reset these, so it's worth checking both even if it worked before.
In your browser
- Click the icon to the left of the web address.
- Turn on Camera and Microphone for studio.sessionwire.io.
- Reload the page.
On a Mac
- Open the Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security.
- Click Camera and turn on your browser or the Sessionwire app.
- Go back, click Microphone and turn it on there too.
- If you want to share your screen, also turn it on under Screen & System Audio Recording.
- Quit and reopen your browser or Sessionwire. macOS doesn't apply the change until you do.
On Windows 11
- Open Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
- Turn on Camera access, Let apps access your camera and Let desktop apps access your camera.
- Go back, click Microphone and turn on the same three settings.
- Close and reopen your browser or Sessionwire.
On Windows 10 the same settings are under Settings > Privacy > Camera and Microphone.
Still not working?
Check that no other app, such as Zoom or your DAW, is using the camera or microphone, then restart your computer. If it still doesn't work, email support@sessionwire.com with your computer, operating system and browser, and what you see.
