Sessionwire and Bitwig Studio setup | Sessionwire Help

Use Sessionwire with Bitwig Studio

Bitwig Studio uses the VST3 versions of the Sessionwire plugins.

Send your mix

  1. Add the Sessionwire Send plugin at the end of the device chain on the Master track. For a separate cue mix, create an effect track, send each track to it, and put the Send plugin there instead.
  2. In your Studio, set HQ Audio Source to the Sessionwire Send Plugin.
  3. Press play and check your HQ Audio meter moves in the Mixer.

Record a Guest

The best recordings come from the performer's side. If you need to record here, read Record someone with the Receive plugin first, as the recording arrives late by the round trip.

  1. Turn on the Guest's HQ Audio in your Mixer.
  2. Create an audio track, add the Sessionwire Receive plugin, and turn on monitoring.
  3. If your Send plugin is on the Master, set this track's output to your interface's outputs instead of the Master, so it can't feed the Send plugin.
  4. In your Studio, set HQ Audio Destination to the Sessionwire Receive Plugin.
  5. To record, create another audio track, set its input to the Receive track, and record-arm it.

Talkback through Bitwig

Only needed if your talkback mic isn't on input 1 or 2, or you want to process it. See Route Talkback through your DAW.
