Sessionwire and Digital Performer setup | Sessionwire Help

Use Sessionwire with Digital Performer

Digital Performer uses the AU or VST3 versions of the Sessionwire plugins.

Send your mix

  1. Add the Sessionwire Send plugin to the last insert on your Master Fader. For a separate cue mix, create a stereo aux fed by an unused bus, send each track to it, and put the Send plugin there instead.
  2. In your Studio, set HQ Audio Source to the Sessionwire Send Plugin.
  3. Press play and check your HQ Audio meter moves in the Mixer.

Record a Guest

The best recordings come from the performer's side. If you need to record here, read Record someone with the Receive plugin first, as the recording arrives late by the round trip.

  1. Turn on the Guest's HQ Audio in your Mixer.
  2. Create a stereo aux track with its input set to None, put the Sessionwire Receive plugin on it, and set its output to your monitors. If your Send plugin is on the Master Fader, use the cue mix setup above so the Receive aux can't feed it.
  3. In your Studio, set HQ Audio Destination to the Sessionwire Receive Plugin.
  4. To record, send the Receive aux to an unused bus, set a stereo audio track's input to that bus, and record-enable it.

Talkback through Digital Performer

Only needed if your talkback mic isn't on input 1 or 2, or you want to process it. See Route Talkback through your DAW.
