Studio One was renamed Fender Studio Pro in version 8. These steps work in both. It uses the VST3 versions of the Sessionwire plugins, or AU on a Mac.
Send your mix
- Add the Sessionwire Send plugin to the last insert slot on the Main Out channel, at the far right of the console. For a separate cue mix, create an FX channel or bus, send each track to it, and put the Send plugin there instead.
- In your Studio, set HQ Audio Source to the Sessionwire Send Plugin.
- Press play and check your HQ Audio meter moves in the Mixer.
Record a Guest
The best recordings come from the performer's side. If you need to record here, read Record someone with the Receive plugin first, as the recording arrives late by the round trip.
- Turn on the Guest's HQ Audio in your Mixer.
- Put your Send plugin on a cue mix FX channel or bus rather than Main Out, as above, so your Guest can't hear themselves back.
- Create a stereo audio track, put the Sessionwire Receive plugin on it, and leave its output on Main Out so you can hear it.
- In your Studio, set HQ Audio Destination to the Sessionwire Receive Plugin.
- To record, add a send from the Receive track to a new stereo bus, and set that bus's output away from Main Out. Create a stereo audio track, choose the bus as its input, and record-arm it.
Talkback through Studio One
Only needed if your talkback mic isn't on input 1 or 2, or you want to process it. See Route Talkback through your DAW.
