Sessionwire has a free Member account and two paid plans, Basic and Studio. Prices are in US dollars.

Paying yearly for Studio saves $59.89 compared with paying monthly for 12 months.

Which plan do you need

Basic is for one-on-one work: you and one Guest in your own Studio. It covers most remote Sessions between an engineer and an artist, a producer and a writer, or a teacher and a student. It includes:

• Live video and two-way HQ Audio
• The Send and Receive plugins for Mac and Windows
• A mixer for your Guest's voice and HQ Audio
• Automute, so your talkback mic doesn't bleed into the Session
• High-resolution screen sharing
• File transfers up to 100MB
• 5GB of Vault storage

Studio is for Sessions with more people and more control. It has everything in Basic, plus two things worth knowing about before you choose:

Puremix Pro, included

Studio comes with a Puremix Pro membership at no extra cost, which gives you Puremix's full library of mixing and production courses from working engineers. See Puremix members to link your accounts.

Remote Desktop Control

Take full control of another person's computer during a Session, so you can set up their DAW or sort out their audio routing yourself instead of talking them through it. The Host can ask to control a Guest's computer, and a Guest can ask to control the Host's. Both people need to be using the Sessionwire app; it doesn't work in a browser. Remote Desktop Control is in open beta.

Studio also includes:

• Up to 50 people per Session, as Guests or Audience
• Guest and Audience invite links, password-protected invites and a reusable private Studio link
• HQ Audio streams you can assign to any Guest
• Recording of Session audio and video
• Producer Control, for muting people remotely
• File transfers with no size limit
• 100GB of Vault storage

A good rule of thumb: if it's usually you and one other person, start with Basic. You can move up to Studio at any time and only pay the difference for the rest of your billing period.

The free Member account

Every account starts with a 14-day Studio trial and becomes a free Member account if you don't choose a plan. Members can join other people's Sessions, use Sessionchat and download the Plugin Suite, but can't host their own Sessions. See Your free trial and what happens when it ends.

More Vault storage

If you need more room than your plan includes, you can add 1TB ($6 a month), 2TB ($12 a month) or 4TB ($24 a month) of Vault storage. Add it from the Subscription page in Sessionwire.
