Create your account and set up your profile

You don't need an account to join someone else's Session as a Guest. You need one for everything that stays with you between Sessions.

What an account gives you

  • Your own Studio, with a link that stays the same, so you can host Sessions on the trial, Basic or Studio
  • Connections, the people you work with, who you can call into a Session in one click
  • Sessionchat, for messaging your Connections between Sessions
  • A profile that other members can find in Discover
  • The Vault, for storing files and Session recordings: 5GB on Basic and 100GB on Studio and the trial

A free Member account keeps your profile, Connections and Sessionchat, and lets you join other people's Sessions. Hosting needs the trial or a paid plan. See Plans and prices.

  1. Go to studio.sessionwire.io.
  2. Enter a display name, your email address and a password, then click Get Started! Or sign up with Google, Facebook or puremix.
  3. Open the email we send you and verify your address.
Notes

Verify your email before your first Session. Until you do, Guests can't join your Studio.

Your account starts with a 14-day Studio trial. There's no card to add and nothing to cancel. See Your free trial and what happens when it ends.

Use the same sign-in method every time. If you sign up with your email address and later click Google, you can end up with a second account. If that's already happened, see Change your email or fix duplicate accounts.

Allow your camera and microphone

The first time you open Sessionwire, it asks for access to your camera and microphone. Click Grant All Permissions, then allow access when your browser or computer asks.

If you said no by mistake, or your camera or microphone stops working later, see Allow camera and microphone access on Mac and Windows.

Set up your profile

Your profile is what other members see when they find you in Discover or get a Connection Request from you. Open it from the left sidebar. You can add:

  • a profile picture and a cover image
  • your location
  • About Me, a short introduction
  • My Work Info, your title, company and website
  • My Gear, the instruments and equipment you use
  • My Skills, what you do
  • My Tracks, audio you upload and choose to show on your profile
  • My Credits, releases you've worked on

Gear and skills are searchable, so people looking for a drummer or a mix engineer in Discover can find you by them.

Click View My Profile to see it the way others do, and Copy Link to share it outside Sessionwire.

The help centre has its own login

This help centre isn't connected to your Sessionwire account, so your Sessionwire password won't work here. You don't need to sign in to read articles or to email support@sessionwire.com.
