Sessionwire Session Settings explained | Sessionwire Help

Session Settings

There are two places to change settings. During a Session, click Session Settings at the bottom of your Studio for the settings that affect the Session. Any other time, open Settings in the left sidebar for everything.

Session Settings

  • HQ Audio Send Bitrate sets how much detail your HQ Audio carries: Up to 256 kbps on Basic and up to 400 kbps on Studio. If someone's connection is struggling, a lower bitrate is more stable.
  • Video Send Resolution sets the quality of your video, up to 1080p. 720p is plenty for most Sessions. Lower it if your connection or computer is struggling.
  • Under Session Tray Buttons, turn on Hide Button Text to hide the labels under the buttons at the bottom of your Studio.
  • Under DAW Compatibility, Block spacebar shortcuts during a call stops the spacebar doing anything in Sessionwire, so it still starts and stops your DAW.
  • Three settings control Automute. See Talkback, the Mixer and Automute.
  • Session Recording sets the recording type for your next Session. This is only on the Settings page, and you have to choose it before the Session starts. See Record a Session.

If the connection gets shaky, Sessionwire lowers video quality first to keep HQ Audio steady.

Notifications

  • Silence Notifications silences Sessionwire's notifications.
  • Missed Messages emails you when someone messages you while you're offline.
  • Block Connection Requests stops people sending you Connection Requests.
  • Email Verification shows whether your email is verified. Guests can't join your Studio until it is.

Security

Enable 2FA turns on two-factor sign-in. Scan the code with an authenticator app, and you'll be asked for a code each time you sign in.

Permissions

Shows whether Sessionwire can use your Camera, Microphone, Screen Capture (for screen sharing and remote control) and Accessibility (for remote control). If something is blocked, see Allow camera and microphone access on Mac and Windows.

Vault and Profile

  • On the Vault tab is the Discoverable tracks setting. You choose which of your tracks are discoverable in My Tracks, which is separate from your Vault. See Connections and Discover.
  • On the Profile tab, turn on Hide profile stats on public profile to hide your stats.
